ITEMS PROHIBITED IN THE NOVO
LA Valiant matches are a family friendly event. Make sure to follow these rules to make sure you have fun and ensure the safety of other Overwatch League Fans!

Items Prohibited in the Novo:

● Outside food and beverage

● Alcohol and Drugs

● Chewing Gum

● Backpacks (Bags (backpacks, large bags, suitcases, luggage): may not be larger than

14”x14”)

● Large amounts of CD’s and Tee Shirts (Pamphlets, product samples), Glass Bottles,

Metal Cans, etc.

● Fireworks, slingshots, laser pointers, flashlights, etc.

● Professional camera equipment, tripods, etc. (with the exception of properly credentialed

individuals) iPads, tablets

● Weapons, explosives, pepper spray, tear gas, etc.Pocket knives or blades of any size or

style.

● No Animals (with the exception of service animals)

● Water guns, toy replica weapons, squirt bottles, soap bubbles, etc.

● Noise making devices, i.e. horns, cowbells, whistles (LAMC Sec. 41.57.)

● Beach balls, Frisbees, balloons, brooms, skateboards, roller blades, skates, etc.

● Any other item deemed inappropriate by The Novo Management.

● Balloons, permanent markers, spray paint, stickers

● Recording devices: audio or video (including GoPro cameras)

● Selfie Sticks

● Signs/flags/banners/posters: may not be larger than 11”17” or attached to a pole/stick

● For the safety and enjoyment of all guests, masks may not be worn while in attendance of any NOVO event

Cosplay Dress Code Rules:

● Costumes that could be confused with local, state, or federal law enforcement of any kind are not permitted.

● All masks must be removed while entering the building. Masks can be put back on for photo opportunities but should remain off otherwise.

● Nothing that you could use to attach yourself, even temporarily, to another person. Examples: handcuffs, leashes, rope, etc.

● No profanity on clothing or costume.

● Flesh colored garments or accessories do not count as coverage.

● Underwear is not clothing and cannot be worn on its own.

● Shoes must be worn at all times. Flip-flops at minimum.

● Men must also wear opaque clothing over their breasts. However, it is acceptable that men can remove their shirt temporarily for cosplay photos.

● All masks must be removed while entering the building. Masks can be put back on for photo opportunities but should remain off otherwise.

● All masks must be removed when purchasing alcoholic beverages.

PLEASE NOTE: If venue staff or security deems a prop or cosplay accessory unsafe or unfit for the event, for any reason, that item will need to be returned to the owner’s vehicle and will not be allowed into the event.
